The organisational structure of the ITA includes a group of
individuals who incubated the ITA in its recent incarnation and
continue to take a key role in ensuring its success; and an
International Board which deals with all operational issues.

Professor Rosemarie
Anderson
Rosemarie is
Professor of Transpersonal Psychology at the Institute of
Transpersonal Psychology and an Episcopal priest. She is a
co-author of Transpersonal Research Methods for the Social Sciences
(Sage Publications, 1998), Transforming Self and Others Through
Research (SUNY Press, 2011), Five Ways of Doing Qualitative
Analysis (Guilford Publications, 2011) and the author of Celtic
Oracles (Random House, 1998). Dr. Anderson has also developed a
qualitative approach to research known as intuitive inquiry, the
Body Intelligence Scale (BIS), embodied writing, and a model of
human development, which describes psycho-spiritual development
from the perspective of the bod.
Bernadette Blin
Bernadette is a
Psychologist, Transpersonal psychotherapist and Gestalt therapist,
trainer and supervisor. She is Founder and Director of IRETT
(Institute for Research and Studies in Transpersonal Therapies) in
France. She is certified in Holotropic Breathwork by Stan Grof, and
also certified by EPG (Ecole Parisienne de Gestalt). She holds ECP
(European Certificate for Psychotherapy), and ECTP (European
Certificate for Transpersonal Psychotherapy). Bernadette is author
of "Healing the ego, revealing the being, the challenge of
Transpersonal therapies" éditions Trédaniel (2009) and "Manual of
Transpersonal Psychotherapy", Interéditions (2011), as well as
having authored many articles about Transpersonal
Psychotherapy.

Professor Elias Capriles
Elias teaches at the University of The Andes and
Dzogchen Community. He ran spiritual emergency refuges, and
then spent years in the Himalayas practicing Dzogchen. He has
authored 16 books, many articles and book chapters,
on comparative philosophy, transpersonal psychology, Buddhism,
political philosophy, philosophy of history and political
ecology. He is discussed in books in France,
Spain and Venezuela, in the Journal of Transpersonal
Psychology and other journals, and Encyclopedia entries.
He is on the International Board of the
International Journal of Transpersonal Studies, Journal
of Transpersonal Research, and other journals, and
is Associate Editor of two journals.

Harris L.
Friedman, Ph.D.
Harris is Research
Professor (retired) of Psychology at University of Florida and
Professor Emeritus at Saybrook Graduate School, as well as a
Florida licensed psychologist. He has written or edited more
than 100 professional publications on humanistic and transpersonal
psychology, as well as on social change, and is the senior editor
of the International Journal of Transpersonal Studies and
associate editor of The Humanistic Psychologist. He

Dr.
Akbar Husain
Akbar is Professor at
the Department of Psychology, Faculty of Social Sciences, Aligarh
Muslim University, Aligarh (INDIA). He has over thirty years of
teaching and research experience. He has authored, co-authored and
edited 20 books and contributed 155 research papers, theoretical
articles and book chapters. Dr. Husain was offered Founding Member
of the International Board of the International Transpersonal
Association, USA in 2009 and he was also offered Membership of the
Nyenrode Spirituality in Business Community, Netherlands in 2008.
His current areas of research are: Spiritual Psychology, Health
Psychology, Counseling Psychology and Positive Psychology.

Dr. Ingo Benjamin Jahrsetz
Ingo is a
transperosnal therapist with expertise in Integrative
Psychotherapy, Systemic Family Therapy, Systemic Constellations,

seminars in Germany and abroad. He organises regular training
courses in Transpersonal Breathwork and Psychotherapy, and has his

Salagame
Kiran is Clinical
Psychologist and Professor of Psychology, University of Mysore,
India. He is also an Honorary Professor, International Academy for
Yoga Teacher Training and Member, Scientific Board, International
Society for Interdisciplinary Yoga Research, Belgrade; Visiting
Professor and Member Academic Council, Swami Vivekananda Yoga
University, Bangalore; a Fellow of the Indian Association of
Clinical Psychologists; Associate Editor of Psychological

Professor Brian Les Lancaster (President)
Les is Professor of
Transpersonal Psychology at Liverpool John Moores University,
Honorary Research Fellow in the Centre for Jewish Studies at
Manchester University, and part of the Adjunct Research Faculty at
the Institute of Transpersonal Psychology, California. He is a past
Chair of the Transpersonal Psychology Section of the British
Psychological Society, and currently President of the International
Transpersonal Association. In addition to numerous journal

Douglas A.
MacDonald
Doug is an Associate
Professor of Psychology at the University of Detroit Mercy in
Detroit, Michigan, USA and a licensed psychologist in the province
of Ontario Canada. He is the Associate Editor of the Journal of
Transpersonal Psychology, Research Editor for the Journal of
Humanistic Psychology, and Editor Emeritus for the International
Journal of Transpersonal Studies. He has been actively involved in
transpersonal scholarship and research for the past 15 years with
primary attention given to the utilization of empirical research
methodologies to the development of measurement models of
spirituality and associated constructs.
Dr Zana Marovic
Zana is a clinical
psychologist, psychotherapist, accredited psychotherapy supervisor,
hypnotherapist and yoga teacher. She has over twenty years of
experience as a psychotherapist and trainer. Currently, she is in a
private practice at the ADDnova Clinic in Johannesburg, South
Africa.
Zana holds a PhD in Medical Psychology from the University of
South Africa. She has published in several professional
international journals and presented workshops and papers at
congresses around the world. In her work she combines
cognitive-behavioral, systemic and quantum approach with hypnosis,
yoga, meditation, breathing techniques and spiritual practice.

Professor Sangeetha Menon
(Secretary)
Sangeetha is a
philosopher-psychologist working in the area of consciousness
studies and Indian psychology. She is a Professor at the National
Institute of Advanced Studies, in the Indian Institute of Science
campus in Bangalore, India. Her published work highlights the
importance of understanding the nature of complex experiences in
the light of global humanistic values such as well-being and
personal growth. Her work focuses on comparative study of emotions,
nature of agency and primacy of experience. Her publication in
The Journal of Transpersonal psychology argues for
altruism as a fundamental value that drives human actions.
